Job Summary
Veterinary Assistant to support surgical and wellness services, shelter animal health, and patient care from intake to discharge. Responsibilities include triaging patients, assisting veterinarians during surgery and exams, maintaining drug logs and accurate patient records, administering vaccines and treatments, and keeping a clean, sterile workspace. Also involved in monitoring the health of shelter and foster animals, maintaining medical records, and ensuring adoption-ready animals are vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped. Requires ability to stand or sit for 8+ hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work as part of a compassionate, team-based clinical operation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree (preferred but not required)
