Job Summary
Veterinary Assistant at GoodVets: support doctors and technicians in a busy veterinary hospital, maintaining clean exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas; feed, walk, bathe, and monitor hospitalized and boarding patients; safely restrain animals for exams and procedures; collect and label samples for diagnostic testing; prep surgical and exam rooms and sterilize instruments; monitor for illness or distress and report observations; assist with medication dispensing and ensure accurate patient records; help with patient prep for surgery, imaging, and diagnostics; stand and move throughout the hospital and lift up to 50 lbs; work safely around anesthesia, radiation, and infectious diseases. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in animal care or a veterinary setting is preferred.
