Job Summary
Veterinary Assistant role supporting veterinarians and technicians in a busy clinic; duties include preparing patients for examinations and treatments, assisting with diagnostic testing and sample collection, supporting surgical and dental procedures, monitoring patient comfort and recovery, obtaining medical histories and documenting patient information, educating pet owners on wellness and treatment plans, maintaining treatment areas and equipment, and safely handling and restraining animals of various sizes; full-time position at Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital in Garner, NC with flexible scheduling and rotating weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years veterinary assistant experience
- Experience collecting blood samples and placing IV catheters
- Knowledge of patient preparation and nursing care
- Familiarity with anesthesia support and monitoring
- Strong communication and client service skills
