Job Summary
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient examinations, treatments, and nursing care. Support diagnostic procedures, laboratory testing, imaging, and patient monitoring while safely restraining patients for exams and medical procedures. Prepare treatment areas for diagnostics, maintain clean hospital equipment, and monitor patient comfort to communicate changes to the medical team. Accurately document treatments and patient information within the hospital information system and deliver compassionate client service as directed by the veterinary team. Collaborate with doctors, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including days, overnights, and weekends
