Job Summary
Engage with clients to promote education and preventative care while assisting with patient history, restraint, and charges in the exam room. Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, and hospitalization, and perform laboratory procedures and x-rays to assist in diagnosis. Prepare medications for outpatient and inpatients, help stock trucks for livestock appointments, and manage surgical equipment sterilization and inventory. Assist receptionists as needed and ensure exam rooms are stocked with drugs and equipment before appointments. This role includes four 10.5-hour shifts plus one Saturday morning per month, with a starting wage of $16-19/hour.
Required Qualifications
- A very good master of the English language (written and spoken)
- You must be available for full time employment consisting of four, 10.5 -hour shifts plus 1 out of 4 Saturday mornings during the school year
- Be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
- Have a strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques
- The right candidate must also show at least 2 years performance at the same job with no change in career during that time
