Job Summary
Greet patients, their pets, vendors, and visitors; answer questions, field phone calls, and send emails. Register new patients, update records, distribute paperwork, and process bills and payments. Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures while obtaining health histories. Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, restock supplies, and ensure the waiting room remains organized and welcoming. Uphold the clinic's reputation by treating all visitors with a friendly, compassionate manner. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records. This full-time role requires lifting and restraining pets up to 40 pounds and working on feet most of the day. We are an equipped trauma and emergency facility serving the Port Charlotte community.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other)
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to problem solve
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to adjust to changes in the environment
- Must be able to handle stress in a calm manner
- Must be a team player
- Must have patience
- Must maintain a positive attitude
- Must be able to anticipate
