Veterinary Assistant

Support the practice team by implementing outlined policies and procedures, operating medical equipment for lab, radiology, anesthesia, and dental, and handling animal bodily fluids and tissues. Assist veterinarians with patient care while reviewing invoices, processing client payments, and maintaining controlled substance logs. Communicate real-time patient updates to veterinarians across practice, referral, and home care settings, and manage pharmacy inventory and controlled substance tracking. Clean workspaces after every patient or lab sample interaction and participate in required compliance training. Work weekends as needed with some travel, standing or walking up to 80% of the shift while lifting up to 70 pounds using team lifts.
