Job Summary
Conduct daily feline patient care including rooming patients, placing IV catheters, drawing blood, running bloodwork, and assisting with surgical procedures. Utilize knowledge of x-ray positioning and proper feline handling and restraint to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment. Provide client education on feline medical choices and maintain excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment. This full-time or part-time role requires a minimum of one year of veterinary experience and is available for a Monday shift and Saturday rotation. Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of veterinary experience
- Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Blood draws
- Placing IV catheters
- Sub-Q / IM injections
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint (Not opposed to scruffing)
- Works at a fast, efficient pace
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and customer service skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in animal handling and treatments
- Must be available for a 10-hour Monday shift
- Must be available for a 5/6-hour Saturday shift
