Job Summary
Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by handling and restraining animals safely. Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas through cleaning and sterilizing equipment, while performing basic laboratory tests like collecting blood, urine, and stool samples. Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision, and feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate with pet owners regarding care and treatment plans. Clean and maintain the clinic by stocking supplies and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment. Work full-time hours Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-8 PM with rotating Saturdays, earning $16-$24/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary setting.
- Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
