Job Summary
Scribe for veterinarians during visits, support medical teams with surgeries and procedures, and compassionately handle and restrain pets for exams. Record and report on patient symptoms, clean and restock clinic areas, and clearly communicate pricing estimates to guide the client experience. Assist with client interactions, walk-ins, calls, and scheduling while maintaining high attention to detail and multitasking with accuracy. This full-time role includes a rotating schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week with pay ranging from $17 to $26 per hour. Candidates must have at least one year of experience as a veterinary or kennel assistant, a working knowledge of veterinary terminology, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience working as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant
- A working knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask with accuracy and efficiency
- A high proficiency for typing and utilizing multiple computer systems and capturing recommendations made during the course of a visit
- A passion for pets!
