Job Summary
Provide patient care including medication administration, IV fluid management, wound care, and oxygen therapy while monitoring and documenting vitals. Collect and process diagnostic samples, maintain catheters, and assist with triage, transport, and emergency procedures under supervision. Collaborate with veterinary teams, communicate concerns to veterinarians, and complete administrative tasks and medical record maintenance. Support hospital operations through cleaning, stocking, laundry, and equipment preparation in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or Bachelors
- Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA)
- Experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 2 years of experience
- Prior experience with exotics/wildlife
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations
- A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being
- Fluency in multiple languages
