Job Summary
The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients and staff, and helps maintain the continuity of quality veterinary care. Responsibilities include assisting with patient flow, communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs, setting up procedures, maintaining clean exam rooms and labs, and educating clients about preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans®. The role emphasizes teamwork, professional service, and adherence to hospital standards to keep pets safe. Required Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
