Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment by cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment. Safely restrain pets for examinations, treatments, and procedures while assisting with diagnostic imaging and accurately administering medications per prescribed plans. Support overall hospital operations and workflow as needed. Withstand unpleasant odors, noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, or contagious diseases. This role offers opportunities for virtual and hands-on training within a family-owned facility serving New Canaan and surrounding communities.
Required Qualifications
- An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
