The Veterinary Assistant provides professional, efficient, and exceptional service in a hospital setting, supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring pet safety and client education, and contributing to the continuity of quality veterinary care. Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, communicating with veterinarians and vet techs, executing procedures that do not require a veterinarian, ensuring hospital standards for safety and cleanliness, educating clients about preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans, mentoring team members, and supporting a comprehensive benefits-oriented work environment. Ideal candidates will perform NAVTA-aligned veterinary assistant duties, demonstrate good communication and caring for both clients and patients, and participate in ongoing learning and development opportunities within Banfield.
