Job Summary
Provide high-quality urgent care and general medical services while leading day-to-day clinical operations. Mentor and develop veterinarians and support staff to establish and maintain high standards of patient care. Help develop clinical workflows, protocols, and practice procedures, and foster a collaborative team environment. Build strong relationships with clients and the surrounding community while participating in practice development and long-term growth initiatives. Maintain compliance with applicable veterinary regulations and standards. This role supports a growing urgent care practice in Santa Cruz, CA, offering flexible scheduling and no overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
- Active or eligible veterinary license
- At least 3 years of veterinary experience
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Leadership or mentorship experience
- Ability to guide and support a veterinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
- No overnight shifts
