Job Summary
Examine and treat companion animals, operate diagnostic equipment, and interpret lab results to detect disease or injuries. Perform surgery, prescribe medication, and advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Provide counsel around pet end of life care and maintain patients' medical records while ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and policies. Work two days at Ham Lake Veterinary Hospital followed by two days at Isanti Pet Clinic, rotating between these locations to serve loyal clientele in the Ham Lake/East Bethel area.
Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
- Appropriate state licensure
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
