Job Summary
Provide high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries and routine veterinary services through PETA’s mobile clinics based out of Norfolk, VA, traveling daily across southeastern Virginia. Responsibilities include performing spay/neuter surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques, overseeing anesthesia (pre-, intra-, and post-op monitoring), ensuring safe patient recovery, promoting humane care, caring for animals encountered in the field (CAP), treating minor medical cases, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating within a fast-paced team to deliver compassionate veterinary care.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Current Virginia veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- Experience with high-volume spay/neuter strongly preferred
- DEA controlled-substance registration (or ability to obtain)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to travel to clinic locations
- Commitment to PETA’s mission and objectives
