Job Summary
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries, operating diagnostic equipment and collecting samples as needed. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options while performing surgery and prescribing medication. Provide counsel around pet end of life care and maintain patients' medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes. This role offers a competitive salary of $115,000-$120,000 per year with up to a $40,000 sign-on bonus. Required Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution
- Appropriate state licensure
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
- Ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
