Job Summary
The Relief Veterinarian is responsible for providing preventative care, diagnosing, and treating pets' diseases and injuries. Key tasks include maintaining medical records, communicating treatment plans, ensuring compliance with laws, and educating clients about pet health. Candidates must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, valid state license, and DEA license. Essential skills include surgical proficiency, strong client communication, excellent organization, and multi-tasking ability. This position may require more than 40 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- License in good standing with the applicable state veterinary board
- License with the Drug Enforcement Agency required
