Job Summary
The Veteran Service Navigator coordinates online intakes for Veterans requesting VLP services, assesses eligibility for VLP programs, and serves as an advocate to meet immediate needs while pursuing long-term sustainability. Responsibilities include reviewing intakes within 24 hours, collecting documentation, transferring intake data to the agency’s case management system, obtaining signatures on consents and program agreements, providing direct referrals to community resources, assigning intakes to appropriate programs and staff, submitting referrals via multiple platforms, reviewing HMIS and HUD referrals, building partnerships with community agencies, and maintaining knowledge of technology/referral systems. Must demonstrate exceptional customer service, strong verbal/written communication, ability to work independently and in teams, and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. Education preferred: Associates degree in related fields; 3–5 years’ administrative experience; Act 33/34 clearances. Salary range: $40,000–$43,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in business, communications, sociology, human services or related field preferred
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience as an administrative assistant or similar position preferred
- Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education
- Act 33 and 34 clearances
