Job Summary
Provide daily essential services to veterans (meals, hygiene supplies, shelter) and maintain a safe, respectful living environment. Support move-ins/move-outs, handle conflict resolution and de-escalation, implement safety and emergency procedures, document incidents and maintain logs, and collaborate with clinical and residential staff to ensure a therapeutic, client-centered setting. Requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and basic computer literacy; valid driver’s license preferred. This overnight, full-time role at U.S.VETS in Phoenix supports veterans through compassionate, structured residential services, with responsibilities spanning service delivery, safety checks, documentation, and facility upkeep.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with veterans, individuals in recovery, or similar populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations and apply sound judgment
- Commitment to fostering a safe, sober, and respectful environment
- Basic computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license preferred (company vehicle use may require additional training and insurance eligibility)
