Job Summary
Provide peer support, mentoring, coaching, and encouragement to veterans working toward personal, housing, and recovery goals; build professional relationships while maintaining boundaries; facilitate peer support groups and life skills workshops; assist with accessing housing, healthcare, benefits, employment services, and community resources; support veterans in developing independent living skills and self-sufficiency; conduct wellness checks and crisis interventions; collaborate with case managers and other providers to coordinate care; maintain client documentation and program records; participate in planning, quality assurance, and outreach activities; transport clients to appointments and resources as needed; ensure compliance with HIPAA, VA requirements, and program policies. Preferred experience working with veterans or homeless populations and certifications in peer support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
