Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive intake, eligibility screening, and needs assessments for eligible veterans, surviving spouses, and dependent family members in accordance with Texas Veterans Commission grant requirements. Verify client eligibility by reviewing required documentation, develop individualized service plans addressing immediate financial needs and housing stability, and determine eligibility for emergency financial assistance for rental, utility, and other approved basic needs. Provide ongoing case management including client outreach, progress monitoring, and referrals to internal Catholic Charities programs and external community partners. Maintain active caseloads while ensuring timely documentation, accurate data entry into agency and grant databases, and grant-compliant client file maintenance. Participate in outreach activities to recruit participants and represent the organization in case conferences and community collaborations. Travel locally as necessary to conduct visits and coordinate services.

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must maintain valid vehicle liability insurance
Must have good written and verbal skills
Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory
Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner
Must be able to handle crisis and use critical thinking
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
