Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary care in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Manage patient flow within appointment-based models while trained staff handle operations, ensuring timely departures. Maintain state and federal compliance, including DEA registration for full-service shifts, and provide professional liability insurance and license defense policies. Work flexible weekday and weekend hours with no agency fees or mandatory on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
