Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary care in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Total Care full-service hospitals across 48 states, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Manage patient flow through our appointment-based model while trained staff handle operations, ensuring you focus on direct patient care without overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Maintain state-specific licensing for blood draws and vaccine administration, hold a DEA license for Total Care shifts, and provide Professional Liability Insurance and license defense. Secure a NC Supervising Veterinarian Agreement provided by Vetco, with flexible online scheduling and no agency fees. Enjoy a 15% discount on Petco products and services.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
- NC Supervising Veterinarian Agreement
