Conduct relief veterinary services at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or full-service Total Care hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement in clinics, or providing a complete range of services including diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures in hospitals. Manage patient flow through an appointment-based model while licensed staff handle operations, allowing focus on pet care. Maintain state and federal compliance, including DEA registration for full-service shifts, and provide professional liability insurance and license defense. Schedule shifts flexibly with no agency fees, earning rates averaging $150-$187/hr in New York.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
