Job Summary
Conduct veterinary care in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Total Care full-service hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Manage patient flow through an appointment-based model while licensed staff handle operations, allowing focus on pet care. Provide professional liability insurance and license defense, maintain state and federal compliance, and obtain DEA registration for full-service shifts. Select flexible weekday or weekend shifts with no agency fees, set your own rate, and receive a 15% discount on Petco products.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
