Job Summary
Relief Veterinarian position with Petco Vetco Clinics and Vetco Total Care hospitals in Naples, FL. Engage in appointment-based shifts with flexible scheduling, choosing from weekday and weekend hours, and setting your own rate per shift. In Vetco Vaccination Clinics, perform basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement (no surgeries or emergency care). In Vetco Total Care hospitals, provide a full range of preventive and outpatient services (including dentistry and surgery) with no overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Requires active DVM license in good standing, state-specific licensing for shift functions, DEA license for total care relief shifts, and professional liability insurance. Strong emphasis on high-quality veterinary care, compliance with mandates, and collaborating with trained staff to manage patient flow. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
