Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary services at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or full-service Total Care hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and microchip placement, or managing outpatient surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic workups. Provide professional liability insurance and license defense while complying with all local state and federal mandates. Maintain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing, including DEA registration for Total Care shifts, and administer blood draws and vaccines. Schedule shifts flexibly with no agency fees or on-call requirements, and utilize the 15% discount on Petco products and services.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
