Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary services at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Manage patient flow through an appointment-based model while trained staff handle operations, ensuring timely shifts without overnight or emergency on-call duties. Maintain a valid state veterinary license, DEA registration for hospital shifts, and Professional Liability Insurance. Schedule shifts flexibly with no minimum or maximum requirements, setting your own rate per shift with no agency fees.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
- NC Supervising Veterinarian Agreement
