Job Summary
Provide veterinary care in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, and outpatient surgeries. Manage patient flow through our appointment-based model while trained staff handle operations, allowing focus on pet care. Maintain state license in good standing, appropriate licensing for blood draws and vaccine administration, and DEA registration for Total Care shifts. Provide Professional Liability Insurance and license defense policy. Schedule flexible shifts with no agency fees and set your own rate. Enjoy 15% discount on Petco products and services.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
