Job Summary
Relief Veterinarian for Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care hospitals at Petco locations. Flexible scheduling across weekday/weekend shifts with control over rates. Appointment-based model with staff handling operations and no overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Veterinary duties include basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement (Vaccination Clinics) and preventive/diagnostic care in full-service hospitals (Total Care). Requires Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with current state license, eligible DEA for Total Care shifts, liability insurance, and compliance with mandates. Two settings offer broad practice across 48 states; opportunities to influence pet health and care with supportive teams and travel-friendly shift options. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
- NC Supervising Veterinarian Agreement (we will provide)
