Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary services at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Manage patient flow within appointment-based models while licensed staff handle operations, ensuring you focus on providing care without overnight or emergency on-call shifts. Maintain state and federal compliance, including holding a valid DVM license, DEA registration for full-service shifts, and Professional Liability Insurance. Schedule flexible weekday and weekend shifts directly through online portals with no minimum or maximum requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
