Job Summary
Relief veterinarian sought for Vetco Vaccination Clinics and Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals. Responsibilities include performing vaccines, wellness checks, heartworm testing, and microchip placement at vaccination clinics and contributing to preventive care, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures at hospitals. Work has an appointment-based model with flexible shifts; no overnight or emergency on-call shifts. You can set your own rate for shifts and benefit from staff handling operations while you focus on patient care. Benefits include 15% Petco discount on products/services. Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
