Job Summary
Conduct relief veterinary services at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Total Care full-service hospitals across 48 states, performing basic wellness checks, vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip placement, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Utilize digital dental X-rays and Butterfly IQ+ ultrasound imaging while licensed staff manage operations to ensure timely patient flow and on-time departures. Maintain state licensure, DEA registration, and professional liability insurance with no overnight or emergency on-call shifts required. Schedule flexible weekday and weekend hours at your own rate with no agency fees, and access monthly newsletters for clinic updates and a 15% discount on Petco products.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
- Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
- DEA in good standing required for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
- Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
- Compliance with all local state and federal mandates
- NC Supervising Veterinarian Agreement (we will provide)
