Job Summary
Provide compassionate, cutting-edge neurological care to patients in a collaborative specialty environment alongside experienced specialists. Manage meticulous details of anesthetic protocols and surgical procedures, including restraint, venipuncture, and anesthesia. Deliver nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients while maintaining strong communication with clients and colleagues. Anticipated schedule includes four 10-hour days weekly with weekend and holiday shifts required. Starting compensation ranges from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, with additional bonuses for VTS certification. Required Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician
- 1-3 years Veterinary Technician experience
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Weekend shifts and holidays are required
- 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts
- Strong communication skills both with clients and colleagues
- Comfortable with restraint
- Comfortable with venipuncture
- Comfortable with anesthesia
- Experience providing nursing care and husbandry for admitted patients
- Knowledge of basic laboratory tests
- Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Associates in Veterinary Technology
- CVT license
- Phlebotomy
- IV Catheterization (peripheral)
- Experience with CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow
