Job Summary
Collect and validate information to maintain electronic medical records, including scanning and storing documents, pulling releases of information, coding animal charts, executing patient master index merges, and performing systems data inputs. Interpret medical diagnoses, train system users, and collaborate with clinicians and researchers on coding requirements and queries to fulfill clinical, research, and academic needs. Provide educational services as requested by the supervisor and work on projects determined by the supervisor. Requires RHIT credential, four years of relevant experience, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds while working long periods at computer screens.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- RHIT credential
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to sit/stare at computer screens for long periods of time
- Must be able to work with exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases
- Must be able to work long periods of visual concentration and attention
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand motions with computer and calculators
- Must complete a background check
- Must pass a drug screen or physical
