Job Summary
Conduct routine onboard inspections, verify vessel conditions, and report on maintenance schedules while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Plan, control, and execute maintenance, repairs, surveys, and certificate requirements for assigned vessels, including dry docking and conversions. Coordinate with the crewing department for monthly meetings to maintain overall fleet crew planning and ensure proper officer familiarization. Perform Senior Officer performance appraisals and participate in near miss reviews. Visit vessels regularly to verify general condition and crew performance. Requires minimum two years as a Jr. Technical Superintendent or Senior Officer, with a competitive salary, bonus, and extensive learning opportunities at CSL Australia.
Required Qualifications
- Min. 2 years experience in the role as Jr. Technical Superintendent, MSQ Superintendent or previous experience in a Senior engineering or Naval Architect position in the Marine Industry
- Proficient computer skills & in-depth knowledge of MS office, Powerpoint and especially Excel
- Financial awareness and ability to administer technical and budget requirements
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with all departments within the company
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Onboard experience in the rank as Senior Officer position is desirable
