Job Summary
The Vessel Maintenance Tech Assistant is responsible for engine checks, assisting with repairs, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the water taxi fleet. Duties include achieving maintenance goals, assisting in planning and coordinating maintenance efforts, developing relationships with local organizations and regulatory agencies, overseeing preventive maintenance, and reporting progress at weekly meetings. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and consent to drug and alcohol screenings.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a commercial maritime operation or equivalent
- Consent to random drug and alcohol screenings and security/background checks
Desired Qualifications
- Boating license or certificate (preferred)
- Experience in maintenance effectiveness and efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven program management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
