Job Summary
Vessel Fitter role (dayshift) at Startec Compression & Process in Calgary, AB. Responsible for accurate fitting, assembly, and preparation of pressure vessel components, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and production standards. Works with fabrication teams in a manufacturing environment; requires journeyman trades certification and 5+ years vessel fitting experience. Must read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings; knowledge of Alberta OHS Act and related codes; strong assembly, fabrication, and quality control capabilities; physically handle heavy materials; shift is 5:50 a.m.–4:20 p.m. Monday–Thursday; opportunities for growth within a dynamic facility with emphasis on safety and production targets.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman trades certificate required (preferably Welding or Pipefitting)
- 5+ years of vessel fitting experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret red-line markups, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of the Alberta OHS Act, Regulation, and Code as it pertains to our industry
- Strong knowledge of assembly/fabrication/production processes, techniques, and quality control methods
