Job Summary
Maintain the ship's deck and superstructure through cleaning, painting, and general upkeep while handling rigging, deck equipment, and cargo operations. Assist with launching and recovering boats and operate winches and other support equipment as needed. Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and climbing ladders in all weather conditions while safely navigating around machinery and moving cargo-handling gear. Standard work hours are generally 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though schedules may vary depending on vessel operations and offshore assignments. Successful completion of background screening, credential verification, and drug testing is required prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. or more on a regular basis
- Ability to work on decks, rigging, boats, and confined spaces in all weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, stand, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work safely around machinery, moving equipment, and cargo-handling gear
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of background screening
- Credential verification
- Drug testing requirements
