Triage and inventory of the help request; coordinate care for clients with serious and/or complex mental health conditions; perform nursing actions and interventions; support clients in acute situations and contribute to de-escalation; establish, implement, and evaluate care plans; collaborate closely with other care providers and institutions within and outside Amsterdam; accompany clients in daily activities and encourage their self-reliance; perform administrative tasks such as maintaining client files and reports. This closed admission unit stabilizes clients arriving from emergency psychiatric services or home due to lack of bed space in the regular emergency chain. The team includes nurses, group facilitators, an ANIOS, and a psychiatrist to ensure safe intake and transition to appropriate follow-up treatment.
