Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership for IT, health information management, or information systems within Vermont's rural healthcare organizations. Support reliable technology infrastructure, networks, and applications while leading EHR optimization, cybersecurity, and business continuity efforts. Protect patient information through HIPAA compliance and oversee medical records, data integrity, and analytics. Manage vendors, budgets, and projects to drive system modernization, and lead help desk or technical support teams. Develop policies, train employees on new workflows, and collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to improve the connection between technology and patient care. This confidential application connects candidates with current or upcoming leadership roles across Critical Access Hospitals, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and long-term care settings throughout the state.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive experience in healthcare IT, information systems, HIM, medical records, clinical informatics, privacy, cybersecurity, or data management
- Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, CIO, or comparable professional
- Experience with healthcare systems, EHR platforms, networks, data, privacy, or records management
- Knowledge of HIPAA, information security, health information regulations, or documentation standards
- Experience managing projects, vendors, budgets, implementations, or system upgrades
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-development skills
- Experience working with clinical, operational, and executive leaders
- Experience within rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, long-term care organizations, or community healthcare settings
- Relevant education, certification, or technical credentials based on the position
- A practical, collaborative, and service-focused leadership style
