Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple departments and service lines in Vermont rural healthcare settings. Translate organizational goals into practical operating plans to support efficient, safe, and patient-centered care delivery. Strengthen communication and accountability while partnering with clinical and financial leaders on staffing, budgeting, and resource planning. Oversee facilities, support services, or ancillary departments and guide growth, restructuring, or service expansion. Present operational updates to executive leadership and governing boards while building relationships with employees, providers, and community partners. This role connects candidates with active and upcoming COO and senior operations leadership opportunities across Critical Access Hospitals, rural health clinics, FQHCs, and long-term care organizations throughout Vermont.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive healthcare operations leadership experience
- Experience as a COO, Vice President of Operations, Chief Administrative Officer, Administrator, Executive Director, or comparable senior leader
- Strong knowledge of hospital, clinic, or healthcare-system operations
- Experience leading multiple departments or service lines
- A track record of improving performance, communication, and organizational effectiveness
- Experience with budgeting, workforce planning, change management, and strategic implementation
- Experience within rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, long-term care organizations, or community healthcare settings
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, public administration, or a related field
