Job Summary

Fiscal Analyst or Senior Fiscal Analyst role with the Vermont Joint Fiscal Office to provide legislators with nonpartisan, evidence-based financial and policy analyses, research, forecasts, and recommendations on fiscal issues. Collaborate with legislators, legislative counsel, and executive agencies to develop public policy analyses and provide public testimony as part of the legislative process. Focus areas include revenues and taxes, economics, workforce and economic development, and other policy areas as needed. Role requires in-person work in Montpelier during sessions with potential for some remote work during adjournment; compensation ranges based on qualification and experience, with the title/grade determined accordingly. Beneficiary state package includes paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in economics, business, planning, public administration, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience.
