Job Summary
Verify incoming freight by visually checking merchandise identity and quantity against Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, and assigned paperwork. Record evidence of tampering, shortages, excesses, damages, or unusual conditions. Prepare labels for shipment and operate forklifts or other machinery to assist with loading, unloading, and staging. Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while following safety policies and resolving problems cooperatively with other associates. Work Tuesday through Friday from 5:00am to 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years' forklift experience
- Computer experience
- Forklift certified
- Able to record and track information using systems
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a position that requires analytical (mathematical) thinking
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years' clamp experience with ability to operate skillfully and safely in a warehouse environment
- Experience with warehouse systems
