Verification & Validation Engineer

Job Summary
Plan and implement verification and validation (V&V) strategy, including implementation practices and processes. Work closely with NASA to integrate joint verification activities with the International Space Station and manage customer-related integrated V&V plans. Establish and oversee verification requirements for subsystems and suppliers as part of the integrated V&V plan. Collaborate with system and subsystem engineers, program office personnel, and customers for V&V planning, scheduling, and execution. Support the development and maintenance of requirements (both internal and external). Mentor junior engineers in spacecraft concepts, processes, analyses, and tool development. Prepare technical documentation and presentations for peers, management, and external customers and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline)
- 10+ years' experience in engineering verification and validation activities, including V&V strategy development, planning, and execution or a combined equivalent of education and experience
- Experience with JAMA or other requirements management tool
- Demonstrated leadership and extensive collaboration skills
- Experience communicating to senior decision-makers and technical audiences
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency
- Excellent interpersonal skill

- Self-motivated
Desired Qualifications
- A background in space systems engineering is desired, including an understanding of space vehicle design, space system architecture development, ground systems support, payloads, and space missions and operations development
- Detailed knowledge of spaceflight subsystems and functions is desired, preferably human spaceflight related experience
