Venue Sustainability Manager - Talking Stick Resort Amp

Job Summary
Manage venue sustainability programs by overseeing material sorting, recycling, and composting operations to maximize resource recovery. Drive hiring, training, and scheduling for the Venue Sustainability Supervisor and crew while maintaining a predetermined budget. Collaborate with venue departments and the National Sustainability Team to implement zero waste plans, track performance metrics, and report progress. Be onsite during pre-season setup, the concert season, and post-season to ensure operational procedures are followed. This seasonal, part-time role begins April 27, 2026, with hours varying by show schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Show days require about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs. with about 50% of that time spent helping/overseeing the sorting of materials.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years in a leadership position with experience in: operations/event coordination, managing a team, and working within the framework of an existing budget.
- Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining hands-on involvement, and quickly troubleshooting operational challenges with practical solutions.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy and a strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
- Time management and the ability to excel in an unstructured environment.
- Passion for driving environmental impact through both hands-on and administrative work.
- Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel proficiency, with the ability to track, interpret, and report metrics accurately.
