Ventures Discovery Program Officer

Job Summary
Lead the coordination and delivery of UQ Ventures programs, coordinating and delivering premier ventures programs and competitions designed to foster entrepreneurial mindsets in future students. Actively facilitate dynamic workshops, hackathons, and skill-building sessions; manage end-to-end program administration including workshop planning, facilitator scheduling, and quality assurance reporting. Support marketing, outreach, and stakeholder engagement to promote Ventures, strengthen partnerships with schools and educators, and expand engagement across metropolitan, regional, and international communities. The role focuses on inspiring future innovators, building entrepreneurial mindsets and leadership capabilities, and connecting participants with opportunities within UQ’s broader innovation ecosystem, with responsibilities spanning program design, facilitation, administration, and ecosystem engagement. This position is based at the St Lucia campus in Brisbane and offers hybrid working options, with pre-employment checks including right-to-work verification and a Queensland Blue Card.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with subsequent business experience (or extensive equivalent training and experience)
- Demonstrated experience in design, delivery, and facilitation of interactive entrepreneurship workshops, hackathons, or student-led initiatives
- Knowledge of entrepreneurial skills frameworks and startup mindset development methodologies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with diverse student cohorts, faculties, and external partners
- Hold and maintain a valid Queensland Government Blue Card
