Job Summary
Establish and maintain quality expectations for suppliers by defining specifications, inspection criteria, and performance metrics. Monitor supplier performance through data analysis, scorecards, and regular reviews while leading root-cause analysis to resolve quality issues. Translate engineering, regulatory, and contractual requirements into actionable flow-downs and ensure compliance with technical documentation and process standards. Oversee identification and disposition of non-conforming material, facilitate Material Review Board activities, and drive corrective and preventive actions. Plan and execute supplier audits focused on quality systems and process controls, tracking findings and verifying implementation of improvements. Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, technologies, and capacity to align with business needs, supporting supplier selection through technical assessments and capability audits. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate documentation and ensure supplier readiness for new product designs, prototype builds, and production ramp-up. Validate supplier processes through PPAP, FAI, or equivalent qualification activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
- U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain engineering
- Strong understanding of quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, PPAP)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed
